Every second Friday of the month, we invite the community to hang out at the museum for a multigenerational evening of science, creativity, and fun. Enjoy a variety of beverages, including wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, while participating in a different hands-on activity or workshop each month. These social evenings are open to all ages, making them perfect for families, friends, and anyone curious about exploring the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)!

⛺️ Who says summer camp is just for kids? At this month’s STEAM Social, we’re bringing the ScienceWorks summer camp experience to a fun, relaxed evening designed for curious minds of all ages.

Enjoy hands-on crafts, creative play, and science workshops at interactive stations like our Scat Kitchen (yes, edible poop!), pH Potion Experiments, Paper Forest, and Pipe Cleaner Bracelets. Whether you're 6 or 60, there's something here to spark your imagination.

We’ll also be joined by Jackson County Library Services, Willow Wind School, and Ashland Schools Student Services, who will be sharing helpful back-to-school resources for families preparing for fall.

The evening features a special performance by local favorite Jen Joy with her touring show Yo-yo Magic.Fun! — a joyful mix of yo-yo stunts, magic, and an inspiring message about effort, openness, and growth. Stick around after the show to try some tricks yourself during the hands-on yo-yo session!

Whether you’re a kid, a grown-up, or somewhere in between, this is your chance to rediscover the magic of summer camp — with a science twist.
