A collaboration with Ashland Aerial Arts! Campers will explore the physics and magic of flight.

- BEGINNER -
Grades 1 & 2 (Ages 6-7)
Beginner campers will work in groups and individually, use basic tools like scissors, and focus on fun maker projects.

Description

This camp includes wall climbing using safety harnesses and will be taught by licensed professionals from Ashland Aerial Arts. All participants will need to sign an additional waiver on the first day. Groups may be combined and separated with other age groups to allow for maximum time on the wall. When not climbing, campers will be engaged with engineering and tinkering inspired by ancient and modern flying machines.

Note: because of the added activities and instructors, this camp is $365 per camper for non-members, and $330 for members.

GENERAL INFO

ScienceWorks camps are led by experienced instructors and children's curiosity. We have three camp sections weekly to ensure all campers are surrounded by potential new friends in their age and ability range. Our camp instructors are experienced and comfortable with supporting different learning styles and needs, such as ADHD and neurodivergence.

ScienceWorks camps are located at the museum 1500 E. Main Street in Ashland, OR. At the museum, your child will be in a classroom setting as well as a public museum setting. We may go outside if weather is pleasant. Your child will have access to the museum exhibits as part of their camp experience.

Camp runs Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 3 pm. Please email ScienceWorks Education Team to notify us of any absences, late or early drop-off/pick-up at least 24 hours in advance.
