What: ScienceWorks 1-Day Camps are a great way to support STEM education for K-5 students in a relaxed educational setting. Great for high school students looking to complete some community service hours and/or for aspiring educators who want to get into a non-traditional classroom! 

When: Friday, January 28 from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Full Day, AM (8:30 - 12:30), and PM (12:30 - 3:30) shifts are available.

When: Monday, May 9 from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Full Day, AM (8:30 - 12:30), and PM (12:30 - 3:30) shifts are available. 

What: Support student-directed STEM education as an After School Program Assistant! Apply and/or gain training in whole child development, play-based education, and more. Work alongside professional educators with K-5 students, assist with classroom management, and support hands-on activities!

When: Weekday afternoons throughout the academic year. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:30 - 5:30 PM and Wednesdays from 1:30 - 5:30 PM. Join us for 1 or more days per week! 

What: Field Trip Assistants make outstanding school visits possible at the museum! In this role, you'll support our staff team by assisting with NGSS-aligned workshops, supporting classroom management, supervising in-museum exploration time, and more. Great for educators! 

When: Flexible scheduling for those with weekday availability during the academic year. 9 AM - 12 PM or 1 PM - 4 PM. 

What: Have a passion for retail development or sales? Support the ScienceWorks Gift Shop as a Stocking Team Member. You'll help us keep the gift shop in tip-top shape as a member of the Operations team. 

When: Flexible scheduling, Wednesday through Sunday. 

What: Become a curator of ScienceWorks' enviornmental presence. Duties vary in this role depending on your interest(s). Become a caretaker of our garden, support on-site sustainability, assist with sanitization, and more. 

When: Flexible scheduling available. 

What: Help shape the future of ScienceWorks as a member of our High School Advisory Council. A small board of local teenage high school leaders, this group meets monthly to explore and advise on a variety of topics including teen-specific programming, volunteering, and more. 

When: Monthly. Scheduled based on teen leaders' availability. 

What: Do you have expertise in HVAC systems, plumbing, lighting, or other facilities and maitenance areas that you're willing to donate to ScienceWorks? This is the team for you! 

When: Flexible scheduling is available. 

What: Lovers of organization...we need your help! Support the ScienceWorks Education Team by preparing and organizing materials for different programs and offerings. 

When: Flexible scheduling available. 

What: Calling all aspiring teachers, actors, and public speakers! Give entertaining presentations on a variety of STEM concepts while generating excitement for hands-on science. In this role, you'll perform community-favorite ScienceLive! shows at the museum. No previous performance experience needed. 

When: Flexible scheduling is available! Weekends are preferred, through occasional weekday shifts are available. 

What: Volunteering as an assistant for ScienceWorks' Spring Break Camp is great way to support STEM education for K-5 students in a relaxed educational setting. Great for high school students looking to complete some community service hours and/or for aspiring educators who want to get into a non-traditional classroom! 

When: Spring Break! Monday, March 21 - Friday, March 25 from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Full Day, AM (8:30 - 12:30), and PM (12:30 - 3:30) shifts are available. 

What: Share your passion for early childhood education with our museum community! Storybook Labs is a preschool-focused storytime including a read-aloud and hands-on STEM activity. Topics change weekly. In this role, you'll lead the story read-aloud and play alongside our earliest visitors as they explore STEM concepts in 'grown-up and me' styled activities. 

When: Saturdays and/or Sundays, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM or 1:00 - 3:30 PM.

What: Lead hands-on, NGSS-aligned STEM activities for museum visitors of all ages! Learn to use the Painting Pendulum, facilitate engineering-inspired workshops in Da Vinci's Garage, and explore science concepts at the Exploration Station.

When: Anytime between 9AM - 5PM, Wednesday through Sunday. 2- and 4-hour shifts available.
